Hindu dharm repeatedly teaches us that:
Ram and Ravan;
Krishna & his uncle Kamsa;
Pandavas & their cousins Kauravas;
Maa Durga & Mahishasura,
all prayed to the SAME GOD!!
Hinduism proves without a doubt that:
evil is not a group of people seperate from us,
who believe in different things.
Instead both good and evil live amongst us, along with us…
in people we know, the ones we feel close to, the ones we think of as our own…
and in fact, within each one of us!
Humanity is the ability to recognise when:
someone (especially when they are our own) has given free reign to their inner demon,
amputated their conscience, and followed through with entitled actions.
Humanity is our duty, and the constant struggle to:
seperate right from wrong, moral from the depraved,
our inner Rama from our own Ravana!
This Dussehra, may the burning effigy of Ravana be a reminder that
neither a hundred good deeds, nor a million prayers are authorised to cancel even one wrong!
It is NOT a barter!
May Lord Rama give us the strength we need to always course-correct.
Happy Dussehra 🙏🏻

Have you ever looked into Christianity?

My school was actually a Catholic Convent. I grew up (and loved) going to church daily and fortunately my city Mumbai, India is so secular there’s hardly any religious belief that we aren’t exposed to through friends.
Having said that, I’m extremely proud to belong to a very rich ancient civilisation and am a practising Hindu.
Thank you though for reading and taking the time to comment.
I respect your right to live and pray in the way you’ve been taught, but I feel blessed to have the guidance of the Bhagavad Gita, which is a manual to life & a guide to be the best version of whatever it is we’ve chosen to be.
