Yes, hard work and intellect earn you wealth.
But it is the good wishes you earn, that ‘buy’ you all the ‘luck’ that you need.
Bringing your special brand of warmth and sunshine, to the world around you;
Leaving someone a little happier than you found them;
Shedding your sense of entitlement and privilege;
Showing concern for situations that affect the world as a whole, and not just your life alone;
Listening, when the elderly tell tales from the past;
Getting down on the floor to play with a child;
Being sensitive, considerate, compromising & accommodating;
Imbibing the good manners, courtesy, ethics & values they taught you in grade school;
Charity in any shape and form;
All of the above are….
The most GREEDY, SELFISH, LUCRATIVE acts known to man!
Yes, you read that right!
The recipient of your benevolence would probably have survived just fine, with or without your help.
But by displaying any act of humane decency and goodness, big or small, you have only ensured that you get ‘paid’ for it in good vibes, finding yourself a lot ‘LUCKIER’ than before.
It’s a business transaction…an investment, pure and simple, with immediate returns.
Make no mistake…being good and doing what is right and required, is NOT a matter of pride.
