Bundles of paper bound by glue
They remind me of me, they remind me of you
They remind me of what we used to be
In what’s now another lifetime, they’re history
Long forgotten in a corner gathering the dust of time
While we moved on to create new moments, neither yours not mine
Life is good now it’s the way it was meant to be
But those simpler times are a nostalgic memory
That bring a smile to my lips, sometimes a tear in my eye
Knowing that some people come into your life only to say goodbye
If life is about living and filling the days, I’ve done that well
If it’s meant to be spent with the one who holds my heart, that’s for another life, then.
